端午节是我国传统节日之一。每逢端午节，爸爸妈妈就带着我去奶奶家过一年一度的端午节。

端午节那一天的上午，我们就要去买艾草。我们把买来的艾草插在门缝里，有的插在窗户上，还有的站在门口，一动不动，仿佛是威严的战士在门口站岗。那一天，整个小区都飘着淡淡的艾草香，插在门上的艾草香千万条青色的丝巾在门口飘荡，十分美丽。因为这青涩的带着清香的艾草的寓意是：驱蚊除虫、驱灾避邪。

很快就到了正午，父母们要给孩子系五色绳。颜色分别是：青、白、红、黄、黑，分别代表是：木、金、火、土、水。五色绳的位置也欣然不同：有的人系在手上，有的人系在脖子上，有的人挂在脚上。五色绳不仅系的位置不同而且他们的美称也有很多，比如;长命绳、辟邪绳、快乐绳等等。
